In
front of him he would walk
Then
behind him he would walk yet again
To
that historic cave they went
Why
is this, Yaa Abu Bakr?
This
is for the enemy that I fear
If
in front of you he would come
Ahead
of you I will walk
If
behind you he would come
It
is behind you that I will walk
He
would die so he could live
The
noble one, the loved one, the adored one
Such
was love! This was love! That is love!
Yet
how much do you know of this man?
Do
you like him behave?
Salaam
and Rahma upon him should rain
Did
his blood not ooze out at Uhud?
Who
is this that could be this audaciously mean?
To
a man fine, polished, refined
A
man so many could not bear to see in pain
It
had been him the brother of a beloved
The
brother of Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas
Not
even blood could stop a brother from this wrath
The
wrath of a brother who loved rasuul of Allah
Such
was love! This was love! That is love!
Yet
how much do you know of this man?
Do
you like him behave?
Salaam
and Rahma upon him should rain
Did
Abu Bakr not a whole seal with his foot?
A
whole in the cave to save the praised one
When
the serpent had bit his foot
How
could he scream in pain?
The
noble one on his lap lay
Pain
can hurt, rasuul of Allah must rest
Such
was love! This was love! That is love!
Yet
how much do you know of this man?
Do
you like him behave?
Salaam
and Rahma upon him should rain
Did
Umar not so many people seek to kill?
Did
Umar not so many people seek to maim?
For
the lies which they speak about the praised one?
For
the hurt which they cause this beloved of Allah?
Had
he not loved him extremely?
Did
he not wish to be like him?
Did
he not live his life like this blessed one?
Such
was love! This was love! That is love!
Yet
how much do you know of this man?
Do
you like him behave?
Salaam
and Rahma upon him should rain
Did
not Ali on the noble bed lie?
When
the enemies their deadly weapons held
His
blood they sought, his death they yearned
Yet
Ali will have to die first
If
they killed him for him, that was ok
If
they found out it was him, that was ok
But
first Ali must go first
The
noble life must live
So
he believed, so he lived, so he acted
Such
was love! This was love! That is love!
Yet
how much do you know of this man?
Do
you like him behave?
Salaam
and Rahma upon him should rain
This
is the nobility about which I sing
This
is the nobility I live to praise
This
is the nobility whose love drunken me
This
is the nobility I wish to see
This
is the nobility I pray to touch
Salaam
and Rahma upon him should rain
