In Praise of Nobility (Three)

Bitter are the words of the ignorant
Words devoid of wisdom and intellect
Words thrown to destroy him who showed the Light
Were that they never uttered them
Doomed are the dead who died in them
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Would that the poet never wrote that poetry
The speaker never spoke those words
Blessed are the likes of Suhail ibn Amr
To him Allah had been Compassionate
For his words to the noble one were soon honourable
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
His beauty glitters in hearts even now
His words stab the minds even today
So in the Masjid he sat
Gems and jewels flowing from his throat
To be swallowed in awe by the luckiest of men
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Right around he had stood to piss
Men flared in flames of fury
Yet the nobility of the noblest of the nobles glared
Soon the shahada the pisser had confessed
For love to him was given fully and true
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Who will buy this one from me at a price?
He played with a man so humble in means
No, rasuul, I am not worth a penny
To Allah you mean so much and more
That the noble one said smiling this joy
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Again and again he drunk the forbidden
The one who put smiles on the shiniest of faces
Cursed be this one for the sin he commits
So exclaimed he who thought him evil
Curse him not for he loves me and Allah true
The noble one said so assured
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Blessed be the men whom in his love died
He would rather die than to see the noble foot hurt
Such was the man Zayd ibn al-Dathina
What was this passion that a man could feel?
Was he not flesh and blood such as they?
The dark heart had been amazed
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
Kill me for this Deen I will not lose
Yet send my greetings to the noble one last
Khubayb ibn ?Adl had stated and frantically too
And to the sky he sent with his feel of salaam
The noble one responded with love
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
This is the nobility about which I sing
This is the nobility I live to praise
This is the nobility whose love drunken me
This is the nobility I wish to see
This is the nobility I pray to touch
Salaam and Rahma upon him should rain
